Privacy Policy
Effective June 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Strata Sports LLC (“Strata,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Strata player-development platform and related websites, applications, and services (collectively, the “Services”).
Strata is a tool that clubs, coaches, players, and parents use together to develop youth soccer players. Many players on the platform are children. Protecting their information is central to how we operate, and this policy describes the safeguards we apply. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Who This Policy Covers
Strata is provided to clubs and organizations that administer player development. A club’s administrators and coaches set up player profiles and record development data. Players and their parents or guardians access that information through their own accounts. Throughout this policy:
- “Club” means the soccer club or organization that uses Strata to manage its players.
- “Player Data” means information about a player recorded on the platform.
- “you” means any registered user — a club administrator, coach, player, or parent/guardian.
2. Information We Collect
Information you or your club provide
- Account information — name, email address, and the role assigned to your account.
- Player profile information — name, date of birth or age, team and club affiliation, position, and similar details entered by a club or parent.
- Development data — skill evaluations, ratings, level progress, training and program activity, coach notes, check-ins, and film-review entries.
- Media content — match or training video links and footage, photographs, and other artifacts uploaded to a player’s profile.
- Health and medical documents — where a club uses the platform to store medical or injury-related documents for a player. See Section 7.
- Communications — messages you send through in-app chat and any messages you send to us directly.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, and actions taken within the Services.
- Device data — device type, operating system, browser, and similar technical information.
- Push notification tokens — if you enable notifications, an identifier that lets us deliver them to your device.
3. How We Collect Information
We collect information (a) directly from you when you register or use the Services; (b) from your club, when its administrators and coaches create player profiles and record development data; and (c) automatically, as you interact with the Services.
4. Children Under 13
The Services are used to develop youth athletes, and we recognize that many players are children under 13. We do not allow children under 13 to create their own accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), a child’s information is added to the platform only through one of the following, which serve as the mechanism for parental consent:
- A parent or guardian who registers the child or accepts an invitation to participate; or
- A club or coach acting under the authority of, and with consent obtained from, the player’s parent or guardian.
A parent or guardian may at any time review the personal information collected about their child, request that it be corrected or deleted, and refuse further collection or use of the child’s information by contacting us or their club. We collect from children only the information reasonably necessary to provide player development and never condition a child’s participation on disclosing more than is needed.
5. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services and player-development features;
- Create and manage accounts and authenticate users;
- Record and display evaluations, progress, film reviews, and related development data to authorized users;
- Send service-related communications, reminders, and — where enabled — push notifications;
- Maintain the security and integrity of the platform and prevent misuse;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
6. How We Share Information
We do NOT sell personal information, and we do NOT share it for targeted advertising or behavioral ad-tech. We share information only as follows:
- Within your club — Player Data is visible to the administrators, coaches, and the player and parents/guardians associated with that player’s club, according to their roles and permissions.
- Service providers — vendors that host and operate the platform on our behalf (for example, our cloud database and authentication provider and our push-notification delivery provider), bound by contract to use the information only to provide those services.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or Strata.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the protections of this policy.
7. Health, Medical, and Identity Documents
Where a club uses Strata to store medical, injury, or health-related information, or identity documents such as a birth certificate, for a player, we treat that information as sensitive personal information. Such information is made available only to authorized users within that player’s own club, based on the roles and permissions set or approved by the club. It is isolated to the club that uploaded it, never shared across clubs, and is not used for any purpose other than making it available to those authorized users.
Strata is a player-development tool, not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse, and is generally not a “covered entity” or “business associate” under HIPAA. We nonetheless apply heightened safeguards to this information because of its sensitivity. The club, and the parents or guardians who provide it, are responsible for obtaining any consent required before this information is uploaded to the Services.
8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, there is no sale or targeted-advertising opt-out to exercise.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13, or ask your club administrator. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as an account is active and a player is associated with a club, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. A parent, guardian, or club may request earlier deletion of a player’s information as described above.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, and role-based permissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to respond appropriately to any incident.
11. Messaging and Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications or use in-app messaging, we process the information necessary to deliver those messages. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
13. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise a privacy right, contact us at privacy@stratafc.com. Parents and guardians may also contact their player’s club administrator.
